Channel Manager

Position

This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual whose background demonstrates considerable success in building and maintaining a high performance sales/channel pipeline. The successful candidate should have an entrepreneurial spirit, a strong desire to succeed, possess a "hunter" sales mentality, and be comfortable calling on a variety of leads at all levels from a technical individual through C-level executive. Candidate should have significant experience in large volume sales and Channel environment, preferably selling and supporting a software application/solution or comparable advanced technology product/service. This position requires exceptional skills in prospecting and qualifying potential Channel Partners and sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:

The Channel Manager will be a dedicated Channel Partner resource. Working exclusively with partners to develop and grow the ProtectPoint business. Responsiblities include:

  • Recruiting strategic partners in their respective region.
  • Contracts, NDA, Eval Agreements, etc. have been submitted for proper execution.
  • Developing and managing Partner Business Plan.
  • Continuous education of Partner, example: Sales Training and Certification, Lunch and Learn, Seminars etc.
  • Quarterly review with Partner
  • Monthly and quarterly revenue forecasts (including pipeline)
  • Managing and tracking accurate Partner Sales Opportunities
  • Developing and managing MDF/COOP activities jointly with Partner and ProtectPoint
  • Managing on-going relationships with existing and new Channel Partners
  • Participating in Company sales/channel meetings

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
  • Demonstrate the ability to create, develop and close solution sales.
  • Proven, consistent over achievement of sales quotas.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple objectives, tasks and clients.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of successful experience as a channel-focused sales representative for a software/technology solutions company
  • Technically adept, with a good base knowledge of the software/technology solutions, preferably security software related.
  • Strong ability to present business cases to senior executives
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Superior listening skills
  • Highly organized and efficient work habits
  • Strong customer orientation; able to emphasize and build rapport
  • Highly self motivated, possessing initiative with a demonstrated track record of achieving and surpassing goals
